PUPPY TRAINING
Mc's Ultimate K-9 offers puppy training for all dogs 6-12 months old. We will focus on basic obedience (sit, stay,
down, heel etc...) Obedience is the foundation of all aspects of our training. We will introduce some drive building
and bite work at an entry level if you are interested. The reason we wait until 6 months is the dog has to have time to
mature mentally as well as let a puppy be a puppy. We will show you how to train your dog to become the next
Ultimate K-9.

OBEDIENCE TRAINING
Obedience is the most important thing you can train your dog. OBEDIENCE IS THE FOUNDATION TO ALL
TRAINING! There isn't anything you can do with your dog that doesn't require obedience. Whether you are tracking,
biting, dock jumping etc… obedience is the key to unlocking your dog’s fullest potential. Here at Mc's Ultimate K-9
we incorporate obedience in all aspects of our training.

PERSONAL PROTECTION
Protection dogs are the real deal dogs. They will protect home as well as family without question. You will not find
harder dogs in the world than a finished Mc's Ultimate K-9 protection dog. Our methods are proven and still stand
true. I encourage anyone decoy /handler or anyone who is interested in seeing what a real protection dog is all
about to come and see. Everyone is welcome to come out and watch and or participate in the class.

SCHUTZHUND
Schutzhund is a German word meaning “protection dog.” It refers to a sport that focuses on developing and
evaluating those traits in dogs that make them more useful and happier companions to their owners.
Schutzhund work concentrates on three parts. (Obedience/Tracking/Protection)
While dogs of other breeds are also admitted to Schutzhund trials, this breed evaluation test was developed
specifically for the German Shepherd Dog. Schutzhund is intended to demonstrate the dog’s intelligence and utility.
As a working trial, Schutzhund measures the dog’s mental stability, endurance, structural efficiencies, ability to
scent, willingness to work, courage and trainability.
Unfortunately this has become a sport rather than a true test of the dog. We at Mc's Ultimate K-9 are dedicated to the
old school real aspect of what a Schutzhund dog should be and will except no less.
This working dog sport offers an opportunity for dog owners to train their dog and compete with each other for
recognition of both the handler’s ability to train and the dog’s ability to perform as required. Our Schutzund dogs
must abide by the written rules or they fail period. We at Mc's Ultimate K-9 won’t accept failure this is why our
Schutzhund training is so intense.
